A spring delicacy; these Fava beans are in still in their pods so it will take a little work to shell; but they are worth it. Great cooked with rice, herbs, and spring alliums (blanch the beans for a minute first)or made into a delicious smooth dip or added to a spring pasta dish; fava beans are a nice source of protein, with a rich and fresh flavor.
