Shine Farms
Shine Farms is a queer, woman owned farm run by besties Jes, Nicole & Kara! We farm because we love to cook and feed folks, so at Shine you'll find all kinds of delicious veggies and eggs from our flock of ladies! We employ low-till farming practices, utilizing cover cropping, and organic mulches to prioritize the health of our soil. We are Certified Naturally grown which means all inputs we use are permitted on organic farms and we don't use any harmful sprays or synthetic fertilizers. In laymen's terms, we don't use anything you can't put in your mouth! We are first generation farmers, working to steward the land and cultivate community as ethically and responsibly as possible. We farm on land in Mechanicsville collectively managed by us, Hazel Witch Farm, and Real Roots Food Systems.
